I started selling online in 2019.
Back then, I started selling words, not products.
I wrote on a platform called Medium.com (iykyk).
The O.G. platform for writing long-form content.
I started writing one morning and lost track of time.
So, I woke up the next morning and did it again.
And then again. And again. And again.
In short, I became utterly obsessed.
That was 7 years ago.
I'm still obsessed with writing as I was back then.
Writing made me feel more alive than anything I'd done before.
I didn't know it then, but I was learning a valuable skill:
Storytelling.
I got good at taking my life experiences and weaving them into a story that could influence someone else.
Everything became content.
Every experience became a writing moment.
Life became so much more fun.
I never did this intentionally.
I just loved telling stories.
But this storytelling skill changed my life.
Through storytelling, I've been able to:
- Grow to 93,000+ followers on Medium.
- Attract high-ticket consulting projects.
- Be invited to international speaking events.
- Secure a traditional book deal with Earnshaw Books (out in 2027).
Looking back, it seems like I orchestrated all of this.
But honestly, I had f*ck all of a plan.
I never knew what I was doing.
As Steve Jobs once said, you can't connect the dots looking forward, only looking backward.
But now storytelling is the hottest skill on the market.
Netflix and OpenAI are paying up to $775k.
Especially in a world of AI.
Because of AI, everyone is sounding the same.
